Matsumoto Leads Rams to 10-8 Win Over Reliables
The Tokyo Rakisuta Rams topped the Nagoya Hosho Reliables by the score of 10-8, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Takao Matsumoto. Matsumoto was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Rams. The win belongs to Hidemitsu Yoshinaga in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Minato Shishido took the loss for Nagoya Hosho. With the win, Tokyo Rakisuta pushed its record to 47-35.

Matsumoto had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Minato Shishido, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Rams a 10-8 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Matsumoto.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Matsumoto.
