George Fisher impressed in the 5-4 Minneapolis win over Detroit. Fisher, who is tied for 9th in the FA with a .394 on-base percentage, was 1-2 with a double and 3 walks, while scoring 2 times. Minneapolis reliever Del Robinson picked up the win, upping his record to 8-6. Jack Vander Kooi absorbed the loss. Minneapolis is now 78-81, Detroit 85-74.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Fisher hit a fastball from Jack Vander Kooi for a run-scoring double. The Millers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
