Arrows Rally Late to Clip New York
Milwaukee starter Ossie Schrieber pitched well against the New York Imperials at Lakefront Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-4, in 12 innings. The first-place Arrows go to 87-71.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 12th, Mooney Vetter wanted to seize the moment and deliver a clutch hit. New York pitcher Mike Dunlavy had other ideas. He wanted to end the Milwaukee rally. What happened next? With one out, Vetter hit a sacrifice fly -- and the Arrows erupted in celebration.

"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said Milwaukee manager Randy Hendrix. "That's what Ossie is right now."
