| Wolves Procure 5-3 Victory | The Toronto Wolves picked up a win at Forester Stadium, knocking off the Cleveland Foresters, 5-3. On the mound for Toronto was left-hander Manny Espinosa. He played a key role in the triumph. In 7 innings, Espinosa surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 3. He allowed 3 runs. Picking up the save was Dick Miller. He's now 16 for 22 in save chances.
Toronto used a timely hit from Pat Schmitt to get the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Wolves ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.
When asked about his performance after the game, Schmitt said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
