Two good teams met in a late-season showdown.

The Dallas Wranglers overcame a pretty good performance by Seattle second baseman Sam Barnes, beating the Kings, 6-5, at Norris Stadium. Barnes was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 4 runs. Dallas now has a record of 92-66 with the win.

The knockout blow came in the bottom of the ninth inning. That's when third baseman Buck Stout stepped to the plate with runners on 1st and 2nd and hit a run-scoring single, to win the ballgame.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Seattle manager Alex Watt.
