The New York Gothams rode a solid performance from 26-year-old starting pitcher Joe Nelson to a win, beating the Baltimore Clippers, 6-0, at Gotham Stadium. The Gothams now own a record of 92-65.

Nelson, who dominated for New York, earned the victory to move to 14-8. He was in control the whole game, scattering 5 hits over 8.2 innings, while striking out 3. Baltimore batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"I was able to change speeds effectively tonight," said Nelson.
