| Toronto Gets 9-4 Win | A good performance from first baseman Bob Reynolds helped the Toronto Wolves defeat the Cleveland Foresters, 9-4. Reynolds went 3-5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Wolves. Ken Jeffrie came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 3.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-3. With the win over Cleveland, the Wolves improved to 72-85.
Toronto catcher Bill Kisling contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a changeup to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 26th hit of the season and put the Wolves ahead, 3-0.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Kisling told the Toronto Herald. | |
