| Cannons Slap 3-1 Loss on Cleveland | The Cincinnati Cannons, behind a great outing from Wally Fields defeated the Cleveland Foresters, 3-1, at Tice Memorial Stadium II. Earl White picked up the save for Cincinnati, his 17th of the year. The second-place Cannons go to 80-76.
Pete Bruce, who is tied for 3rd in the CA with a .394 on-base percentage, contributed to the Cincinnati win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
