| Chiefs Stymie Los Angeles, Take 4-1 Win | Chicago used a superb performance from starting pitcher Nate Carr to down the Los Angeles Suns, 4-1. The 5th-place Chiefs improved to 76-79.
The Chiefs got a big at-bat from first baseman Babe Thornton. For the game, Thornton went 1-3 with a triple. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 2nd triple of the season gave Chicago a 2-1 lead.
"Nate pitched like a champ," said Chicago manager Ollie Howard.
