| Toronto Downed, 4-2, by Foresters | The Cleveland Foresters had to overcome a fine effort from Toronto pitcher Red Bullock to win, 4-2, at Dominion Stadium. Bullock went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Charlie Sawyer picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 10-3. Dick Miller suffered the loss. With the victory, the Foresters upped their record to 77-75.
Cleveland used the timely hitting of Red Miller to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Foresters on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Bottom line," said Toronto skipper Carl Evans, "we didn't play well enough to win."
