Arrows Come Back Late, Nip Cannons
The Milwaukee Arrows picked up a win at Lakefront Park, knocking off the Cincinnati Cannons, 3-2. Starting pitcher Mel Maddox played a key role in the triumph. Milwaukee reliever Jim Hart picked up the win, upping his record to 8-10. Ike Hawley was saddled with the loss. The win elevated the Arrows to 79-75.

Jim Stogner was the walk-off hero for Milwaukee. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Arrows pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Maddox told reporters after the game.
