| Hurlbutt goes 3-for-4 to Ignite Suns Offense | A 3-RBI performance from center fielder Larry Hurlbutt led the Los Angeles Suns to a win over the Houston Comets, 8-1. Los Angeles improves to 90-62 with the win. They lead their division by 7 games.
With Los Angeles leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Hurlbutt hit a 2-run single off Houston hurler Spencer Reese. It was the 104th hit of the season for Hurlbutt and put his team ahead, 3-0.
"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Hurlbutt told a local reporter after the game.
