Cougars Score Late, Top Imperials, 10-8
Behind a fine performance from Dode Caudill, the Chicago Cougars knocked off the New York Imperials, 10-8. Caudill went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Cougars. Chicago reliever Pug White was the winner. His record is now 13-4. The losing pitcher was Eddie Webb. The victory gives the Cougars a record of 90-64.

George McKee went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Chicago. The 25-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 8-8 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Eddie Webb. It was his 20th RBI of the season.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Chicago manager Buck Cuppett.
