Wolves Get Past Cleveland for 3-2 Win
In a low-scoring affair between the Toronto Wolves and the Cleveland Foresters, pitcher Jim Hunter was the difference between victory and defeat. The Toronto right-hander earned kudos in the 3-2 Wolves win. Dick Miller snagged the win in relief. He goes to 6-5 on the season. Bob V James suffered the loss. By defeating Cleveland, the 5th-place Wolves improved to 70-81.

Les Reid was the walk-off hero for Toronto. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Wolves left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Reid described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
