The Washington Eagles picked up a win at Columbia Stadium, downing the New York Gothams, 7-2. On the mound for Washington was right-hander Les Wilson, who played a pivotal role in the win. With the win, Washington pushed its record to 95-58.

Jimmy Brown hit a run-scoring triple off Chet Stansbury in the bottom of the second, which put the Eagles in front, 1-0. Brown had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
