| New York Loses, 3-2, in 10 | Kansas City right-hander Roy Curtis helped his team edge New York by the score of 3-2 in 10 innings. Curtis kept the opposing lineup in check. Del Lamb notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record now sits at 9-6. With the win, Kansas City raised its record to 89-64.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Kansas City second baseman Al Farmer, facing Gordon McDonald, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Kings the 3-2 win.
"The fans went nuts at the end," Farmer said.
