A 3-RBI performance from catcher Bob Burge, who finished 5th in the CA in on-base percentage with .405 in 1955, led the Kansas City Kings to a win over the New York Imperials, 4-3. The win was credited to Del Lamb in relief. His record improves to 8-6. Glenn Webb took the loss. The triumph puts Kansas City at 88-64 for the season.

Kansas City took the lead, 4-3, on Pat Davis's 20th home run of the season. The solo home run came off New York pitcher Glenn Webb in the bottom of the eighth.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Davis. "And not try to do too much."
