| Cannons Handed 8-4 Loss by Toronto | The Toronto Wolves withstood a fine game by Cincinnati catcher Pete Bruce at Dominion Stadium, to upend the Cannons, 8-4. Bruce was 3-4 with 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. The 5th-place Wolves sport a record of 70-81.
In the bottom of the sixth, Toronto center fielder Dwayne Cleaves gave his team the lead. With one out and the bases loaded, Sarge hit his 17th double of the year. Cincinnati pitcher Herb Terry surrendered it. With that, the Wolves jumped in front, 5-4.
