Kings Deal Wolves 3-2 Loss | The Kansas City Kings picked up a win at Dominion Stadium, courtesy of Beau McClellan. The left-hander helped his team stop the Toronto Wolves, 3-2. The winner was McClellan. He threw 7.2 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Bill Medley. Del Lamb collected his 21st save.
The result might have been different, had it not been for 23-year old catcher Lyman Chandler. Chandler had a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Kings ahead, 3-0. For the game, Chandler had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Kansas City manager Glenn Carney.
The win for the Kings lifted their record to 105-46. | |
