| Wolves Beaten, 4-0, by Imperials | The New York Imperials beat the Toronto Wolves, 4-0, at Dyckman Stadium. Starting pitcher Emmett Thornton was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. New York is now 75-73.
The Imperials got a lift from second baseman Jake Poole, who in the bottom of the third stroked a first pitch fastball to left for a 2-run single. It was his 100th hit of the season and put the Imperials ahead, 3-0.
"The most important thing is that we won," Poole said.
