Ray Waggoner really sizzled at the plate in his team's 12-2 win over the Washington Eagles. The Detroit left fielder blistered Washington for 5 hits in 6 at-bats.

"Waggoner was too tough to get out today," the Eagles skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."

Ray Waggoner hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a three-run double in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.

This season, Waggoner has hit at a .369 clip and produced 119 runs batted in, 34 home runs and 127 runs.
