| Copperheads Keep Streak Alive With 6-3 Win | Atlanta registered a win at Columbia Stadium by beating the Washington Eagles, 6-3. Pitcher Marco Middleton was one reason why the Copperheads triumphed. The 98-52 Copperheads have won 16 games in a row.
Atlanta used a timely hit from John Moreland to get the win. The first baseman stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Copperheads ahead, 6-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.
"Swagger goes hand in hand with playing well," said Atlanta manager Don Fox. | |
