| Kings Earn Win with Late Rally | Seattle Municipal Stadium was host to some action-packed drama.
The Dallas Wranglers got a superb performance from pitcher Ed Smith, but the Seattle Kings still won the game, 4-3. Smith threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The win went to Bud Keeley in relief, making him now 1-0. Johnny Manning took the loss for Dallas.
Seattle got a knockout punch from Bob Glowacki. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"This place was rocking at the end," Glowacki said.
The first-place Kings, at 100-50, now lead their division by 22½ games. | |
