Kansas City Defeated By Saints, 9-3 | The Montreal Saints defeated the Kansas City Kings, 9-3, at Prairie Park. Montreal center fielder Bill Gilman had a superb performance. He went 2-4 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Montreal currently is in 8th place in the Continental Association at 63-82.
Gilman contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Montreal in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Gilman took a changeup from Stan Reinert and stroked the home run to right-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Saints to leap in front, 2-1.
