Seattle center fielder Tom Hicks played a vital role in his team's 9-3 conquest of Dallas. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for Seattle. Seattle is now 99-49, 22½ games up in the Continental Association West.

Seattle grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Hicks hit a grand slam home run off Ed Cooksey. His 13th home run of the season put the Kings out in front, 5-1.
