| Cannons Popped by Sailors, 7-4 | Despite a great performance by Cincinnati right fielder Mark Boyd, the San Francisco Sailors defeated the Cannons by the score of 7-4 at Tice Memorial Stadium II. Boyd was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Hank Lacey, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 8 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 14-7. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Sailors.
