Chicago Defeated By Wolves, 5-2
The Toronto Wolves picked up a win at Dominion Stadium, downing the Chicago Cougars, 5-2. On the mound for Toronto was right-hander Arnie Smith, who played a pivotal role in the win. Jim Jackson got the save, his 4th in 6 chances. With the win, the Wolves have a record of 75-72.

Toronto took a 4-2 lead on Clyde Fisher's 16th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Fisher hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Chicago pitcher Ken Stone visibly frustrated.

"We took home the win," said Fisher. "What's not to like?"
