Johnny Blackburn, who finished 3rd in the FA in strikeouts with 160 last year, was locked in. The right-hander led the Houston Comets to a 5-3 win against the Chicago Chiefs at Dalton Domed Stadium. Bob Young claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 10-8.
