| Eagles Win 4-3 Walk-Off | Thanks in large part to left fielder Ralph Weatherbee, the Washington Eagles beat the Minneapolis Millers, 4-3. Weatherbee went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and 2 walks. Minneapolis has now lost 7 consecutive games.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Weatherbee hit a slider from Bobby Crooks for a run-scoring single. The Eagles, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
