Dallas registered a win at Bigsby Stadium by beating the Los Angeles Stars, 3-2. Pitcher Pedro Castro was one reason why the Wranglers triumphed. Asbury Ashmore earned his 11th save in 15 chances. The third-place Wranglers go to 83-63.

It could have been a different outcome for Dallas, had it not been for Roy Johnson, the 26-year old center fielder . Johnson contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Dallas up, 3-2.

"This game will punch you right in the mouth," said Castro. "My job is to show up and give my team a chance."
