Howe Pops Two Homers in 6-5 Win for Cleveland
The Cleveland Foresters beat the Kansas City Kings, 6-5, at Forester Stadium. Cleveland center fielder Earl Howe had an outstanding performance. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The win belonged to Johnny Ogden in relief. His record improves to 6-6. Del Lamb took the loss for Kansas City. The triumph puts Cleveland at 81-60 for the season.

Howe had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 sinker from Beau McClellan, he banged a bases-clearing double to right, giving the Foresters a 5-3 lead. It was the 19th double of the year for Howe.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Howe told the Cleveland News.
