Minutemen Earn 6-5 Win Versus Copperheads
The Boston Minutemen grabbed a win, 6-5, over the Atlanta Copperheads in 17 innings at Minuteman Stadium. Boston second baseman Charlie Hartsell was 3-6 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Ed Phipps picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-3. Curly Anderson was tagged with the loss. The Minutemen go to 54-91 with the win.

The Minutemen got a clutch hit from pitcher Ed Phipps. In the bottom of the 17th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Minutemen.

"We'll try to build on that win," Hartsell told the Boston Bulletin.
