| Toronto Tacks 7-4 Loss on Cleveland | The Toronto Wolves picked up a win at Dominion Stadium, knocking off the Cleveland Foresters, 7-4. Starting pitcher Arnie Smith was a big reason why. Smith, now 14-9, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 4 runs. The Wolves now have a mark of 67-71.
In the bottom of the sixth, Toronto third baseman Clyde Fisher had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Fisher stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 2-1, Toronto. For the game, he was 1-4.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Fisher.
