The Dallas Wranglers beat the Cincinnati Cannons, 6-4. Dallas pitcher and New York, native Butch Abrams led the way. Hank Berkowitz got the save, the 10th for him this season. The Wranglers raised their record to 55-81.

Dallas left fielder Chuck Armstrong contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a changeup to right-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 59th hit of the season and put the Wranglers ahead, 3-0.

"We take it day by day here," said Abrams, "and today was a good one for us."
