Sailors Win Thriller, 7-6
The San Francisco Sailors faced a tough opponent in Dallas pitcher Jack Mead, but found a way to pull out the victory at Golden Gate Stadium by a final score of 7-6 in 10 innings. Mead went 6 innings and allowed 4 runs. San Francisco reliever Jimmie Smith picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Jack Meeks took the loss. San Francisco is now 65-81, while Dallas is 71-73.

The Sailors got a clutch hit from pitcher Jimmie Smith. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Sailors.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Smith said.
