Foresters Defeat Saints, 3-2 | The Cleveland Foresters did just enough to secure a victory over the Montreal Saints, 3-2, in 10 innings at Forester Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Tommy Miller. The Saints, at 60-76, have lost 4 in a row.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Cleveland catcher Larry McClure, facing Eddie Bowman, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Foresters the 3-2 win.
"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Miller. | |
