| Foresters Lose at Home, 5-1 | Milwaukee starter Mel Maddox pitched well against the Cleveland Foresters at Forester Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-1. With the win, Milwaukee raised its record to 72-72.
With Milwaukee leading 3-1 in the top of the fourth, Maddox hit a 2-run single off Cleveland hurler Alex Rutherford. It was the 6th hit of the season for Maddox and put his team ahead, 5-1.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Milwaukee manager Randy Hendrix.
