Cleveland second baseman Herb Reed had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Cincinnati Cannons, 7-4. Cleveland pitcher Juan Solorzano got the win, upping his record to 10-11. Herm Quinn got the loss. Picking up the save was Bob V James, his 13th.

Reed hit a 2-run single in the bottom of the third to help the Cleveland cause. The single, which was hit off Herm Quinn, allowed Cleveland to take a 2-1 lead.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Reed.

The Foresters win now puts them at 63-80.
