| Saints Get Clutch Win, 8-7 | Stade Montreal was rocking after an exciting Saints win.
Los Angeles got a terrific game from shortstop Tom Clement. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Montreal, 8-7. Clement was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. Montreal is 60-72 and Los Angeles, with the loss, 72-60.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Montreal shortstop Art Robbins, facing Harry Stout, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Saints the 8-7 win.
"This place sure got loud," said Johnny Gilbert, the Montreal manager.
