He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 for Chicago. The winning pitcher was Pug White. He tossed 111 pitches over 9 innings, allowing 1 run on 10 hits. The win makes Chicago 76-67.
John Baab, who is tied for 3rd in the CA in RBI with 85, took Los Angeles hurler Jackie Thompson deep in the bottom of the fourth. His 2-run home run put the Cougars on top, 2-0. In all, Baab had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
