| Cougars Deal Wolves 4-2 Loss | The Chicago Cougars picked up a win at Dominion Stadium, knocking off the Toronto Wolves, 4-2, in 11 innings. Starting pitcher Andy Logue played a key role in the triumph. Arch Wilson recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 9 for 12. The Cougars bumped their record to 69-60 with this latest triumph.
John Morrison came through with a big-time hit for Chicago. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
After the game, Chicago manager Buck Cuppett applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
