Stars Upend Wolves, 8-4
The Los Angeles Stars defeated the Toronto Wolves, 8-4, at Dominion Stadium. Los Angeles left fielder Charlie Sax had a superb performance. He went 3-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Their 86-55 record puts the Stars second in the Continental Association.

Los Angeles used a well-timed hit by Ed Howard to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Stars ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Sax told the Los Angeles Daily News.
