Cougars Pull Out Late-Game Win, 6-5
Los Angeles first baseman Bobby Garrison had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Garrison was 6-6 with a home run and 5 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, even as Chicago beat the Stars, 6-5. Chicago reliever Charlie Lawson snagged the win, upping his record to 1-1. John Herzog shouldered the loss. The 5th-place Cougars have won 6 in a row.

The Cougars procured the win, in large part because of shortstop Tom Halliday. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"Exciting game to play in," said Halliday. "Getting the win makes it even better."
