| New York Absorbs 7-6 Loss to Cincinnati | Though he had a stellar game, George Love could not prevent his team, the New York Imperials, from losing, 7-6, to the Cincinnati Cannons. Love went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Earl White collected his 16th save. Cincinnati now sits at 73-68, while New York falls to 71-69.
Cincinnati got a lift in the bottom of the fifth from center fielder Frank Bradshaw, who hit a fastball to right-center for a bases-clearing triple. His 6th triple of the season put the Cannons up, 6-5.
"We all want to win," said Bradshaw. "We all want to do our part." | |
