| Comets 4-3 Losers to Minneapolis | Jack Turner was locked in. The left-hander led the Minneapolis Millers to a 4-3 win against the Houston Comets at Hennepin County Stadium. Turner picked up the win for Minneapolis, going 7 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 9-11. Bill Burkhart nailed down his 2nd save.
In the bottom of the seventh, Clyde Allen delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Minneapolis first baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Millers in front, 4-3.
"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Turner.
The 4th-place Millers go to 67-76.
