| Cougars Edge Past Saints, 3-2 | The bat of Bobby Martinez helped the Chicago Cougars top the Montreal Saints, 3-2. Chicago used the timely hitting of Mooney Vetter to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cougars on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
