The New York Imperials extended their losing streak with a defeat by the Kansas City Kings.

A 5-RBI performance from Al Farmer, who is on pace for 111 RBI this season, helped the Kansas City Kings beat the New York Imperials, 16-2. The last-place Imperials have lost 9 consecutive games.

With Kansas City leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Farmer hit a fastball from Milt Lane for a 3-run home run. It was his 22nd home run of the season and put the Kings ahead, 4-0.

"They took it to us," said New York manager Ed Ziehl.
