| Imperials Take Down Foresters, 7-1 | New York turned a good performance from starting pitcher Chief Williams into a 7-1 triumph over the Cleveland Foresters at Dyckman Stadium. The winner was Williams. He threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Dick Couture. Cleveland's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Freddy Curtis cracked a home run off Dick Couture in the bottom of the first. His 2-run blast put the Imperials on top, 2-0. In all, Curtis had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"You just play the game as right as you can and see where you end up," said Imperials manager Jim Abernathy.
