| Copperheads Drop Minutemen, 6-1 | Pitcher Harry Inge was sensational for the Atlanta Copperheads in his team's 6-1 triumph over the Boston Minutemen. Inge earned the win. Today's win puts Atlanta at 88-52, while Boston falls to 73-67.
Atlanta used the timely hitting of Earl Skains to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Copperheads on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Harry is a gamer," said Atlanta manager Don Fox. | |
