The timely hitting of Ed Savage helped the Toronto Wolves down the New York Imperials, 13-12. Savage went 5-6 with a home run, a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Wolves. The win belonged to Phil Colantuono in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Bill Holm took the loss for New York. The slumping Imperials have dropped 6 in a row.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 14th for Toronto. That's when former first round draft pick Chick Reed hit a run-scoring double off Bill Holm to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"This game had a little bit of everything," said Reed.
