The Los Angeles Suns topped the Houston Comets, 1-0, in Federal Association action at Dalton Domed Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Los Angeles pitcher and Brooklyn, New York, native Pete Meissner. With the win, Los Angeles upped its record to 78-62.

Los Angeles relied on the hitting of Lou Geyer to pick up the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Suns on top, 1-0. For the game, Geyer had 1 triple and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
