The final score had Boston getting past the Keystones, 5-2, in 10 innings. Lucas over 7 innings allowed 1 run on 2 hits, while striking out 6. The win puts Boston at 49-87.
The game was at a stalemate until pitcher Walt Portelli came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Philadelphia pitcher Bill Felder, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Boston on top, 4-2.
