| Milwaukee Upended by New York, 2-0 | Lakefront Park hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
The New York Imperials claimed a close win over the Milwaukee Arrows, due in large part to Howie Weston. The New York right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-0 win. Weston picked up the win for New York, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 10-10.
New York used a well-timed hit by Woody Richardson to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Imperials ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Randy Hendrix.
The Imperials bumped their record to 72-66 with this win.
